Naslov predavanja: SIMETRIČNE MONOIDALNO ZATVORENE KATEGORIJE I LOGIKA

Apstrakt: Na predavanju ćemo konstruisati simetričnu monoidalno zatvorenu kategoriju čije strelice kodiraju izvođenja u multiplikativnom konjuktivno-implikativnom fragmentu intuicionističke linearne logike. Kroz ovu kategoriju ćemo prikazati osnovna svojstva tog fragmenta.
Rezultat koherencije za simetrične monoidalno zatvorene kategorije u ovom kontekstu nam daje odgovor na pitanje kada su u pomenutom fragmentu linearne logike dva izvođenja jednaka.

Seminar Geometrija i primene, 14. april 2022.

Naslov predavanja: INTEGRABLE SYSTEMS OF DYNAMICS IN PSEUDO-EUCLIDEAN SPACE AND TOPOLOGY OF NON-COMPACT LIOUVILLE FOLIATIONS

Apstrakt:
Finite-dimensional integrable systems obtain a structure of Liouville foliation, i.e. their phase space is a disjoint union of common level surfaces (their connected components) of their integrals. Theory of topological classification of such systems and their singularities was built by A. Fomenko and his school. Integrable systems of rigid body dynamics, e.g. Euler, Lagrange and Kovalevskaya tops were analysed in this way and appeared to realize a lot of interesting effects possible in this theory.

Two properties of foliations important for the classification theorems are the compactness of the fibers (connected common levels of integrals) and completeness of Hamiltonian flows of their integrals (phase trajectory is well-defined for each real time). Extending the topological classification theory to other integrable systems is an open and fundamental problem.

As the first step it can be fruitful to obtain a set of examples of such foliations and analyze them. As it turns out, dynamical systems in a pseudo-Euclidean space (e.g. such analogs of famous integrable tops of Euler, Lagrange and Kovalevskaya) are also integrable and realize foliations with both compact and noncompact fibers and non-critical singularities (i.e. the foliation is not locally trivial but does not contain critical points of first integrals). We will discuss properties of such systems and topology of their Liouville foliations studied by the speaker.

Naslov predavanja: SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS FOR ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK STRUCTURE REDUCTION

Apstrakt:
In the seminar, I will show some propositions of the use of sensitivity analysis (SA) for the structure reduction of the selected neural network topologies. Two algorithms are introduced. The first algorithm applies SA for the neural network input layer reduction by selecting significant features of input patterns. The second algorithm utilizes the SA procedure to remove redundant neurons of the network. The classification qualities of reduced and full structure neural networks are compared. Furthermore, we set for comparison the neural networks for which different state-of-the-art reduction methods are applied both in the input layer and pattern layer. The models are tested in the classification problems of some repository data sets.

Detaljnije: Na predavanju ću uvesti (relativnu) Gromovljevu širinu i (relativni) problem pakovanja. Navešću poznate rezultate i opisati problem na kome radim.

Od interesa su mi Lagranževe mnogostrukosti koje dopuštaju metriku ne-pozitivne sekcione krivine. Koristeći specifičnu geometriju i topologiju takvih Lagranževih iz dekompozicija u Fukajinoj kategoriji
možemo da dokažemo egzistenciju holomorfnih poligona koji daju ograničenje odgovarajućih invarijanti.

Naslov predavanja: LAGRANGIAN RELAXATION AND DECOMPOSITION-BASED ALGORITHMS FOR FLOW SHOPS WITH JOB-DEPENDENT BUFFER REQUIREMENTS

Apstrakt:
The flow shop problems with storage (a buffer) have been extensively studied in the literature on scheduling, but most of these publications consider flow shops with an intermediate buffer between stages and assume that this buffer limits only the number of jobs that have completed one operation and are waiting for the commencement of the next one. In contrast, in the flow shop models, considered in this talk, the storage requirement varies from job to job and each job seizes the required storage space during its processing on the machines as well as during its waiting time between the operations. This also differentiates these models from the resource-constrained scheduling that assumes that the additional resource is consumed by a job only during its processing on the machines, but it is released between the operations. Although the practical significance of the flow shops with job-dependent storage requirements was acknowledged as early as in 2007, the active research in this field of scheduling theory was triggered by the publications in 2008 and 2013 that were concerned with controlling the lag during a multimedia presentation of media objects, where each object has a loading time and playtime. Since then, various publications have appeared with results concerning complexity, integer programming formulations, branch and bound algorithms and heuristics for the flow shops with job-dependent storage requirements. In this seminar, I will talk about Lagrangian relaxation and decomposition approach to such models and my results in this area so far: I will present several Lagrangian relaxation and decomposition-based heuristics that are developed for NP-hard flow-shop problems with job-dependent storage and the results of computational experiments.

Naslov predavanja: O GREBNEROVIM BAZAMA U SLUČAJU PRSTENA POLINOMA NAD NENETERINIM PRSTENIMA

Apstrakt: Grebnerove baze predstavljaju važan pojam u izučavanju prstena polinoma nad komutativnim prstenima. Odnosi se na skup generatora datog ideala na osnovu koga se lako može odgovoriti na pitanje da li je neki polinom element ideala ili ne. Sem u komutativnoj algebri, ova teorija ima značajne primene  i u drugim oblastima matematike i u računarstvu.
U ovom predavanju će poseban naglasak biti na teoriji Grebnerovih baza za ideale u prstenima polinoma gde koeficijente čine neki od neneterinih prstena.

Detaljno ispitivanje ponašanja membrane pri savijanju se često smatra suštinskim za razumevanje pojedinih osobina ćelija, kao i nekih osobina materijala i može dovesti do napredaka na polju biologije i nauke o materijalima. Na ovom predavanju ćemo se baviti klasičnim determinističkim pristupom modelovanju membrana. Najpre ćemo predstaviti varijacioni model za membranu koja je jako privučena od strane dva zida i karakterizovati optimalni oblik membrane putem Gama-konvergencije. Ovaj deo predavanja se oslanja na master tezu pod mentorstvom prof. Barbare Cviknagl i prof. Žan-Dominik Dojšela. Potom ćemo diskutovati o proširenju ovog modela kako bi odgovarao pojavi lipidnih ostrva u biološkim membranama.
