Naslov predavanja: NONLOCAL DE SITTER GRAVITY AND ITS COSMOLOGY

Apstrakt:
General relativity (GR), i.e. Einstein theory of gravity, is recognized as one of the best physical theories - with nice theoretical properties and significant phenomenological confirmations. Nevertheless, GR is not a complete theory of gravity and there are many attempts to modify it. One of the actual approaches towards more complete theory is nonlocal modified gravity. Nonlocal gravity model, which we consider here without matter, is given by the action, where R is scalar curvature and Λ-cosmological constant. Derivation of equations of motion is presented in [1]. We plan to present a brief review of general properties, and then discuss exact cosmological solutions.

One of the exact cosmological solutions mimics the dark matter and the dark energy, see [2]. Computed cosmological parameters are in a good agreement with standard model of cosmology.

Naslov predavanja: CUSTOMER CHURN PREDICTION IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS APPLYING UNSUPERVISED MACHINE LEARNING

Apstrakt:

U ovom predavanju biće predstavljen rad iz 2020-te pod naslovom: "Enrichment and internalization in tricategories, the case of tensor categories and alternative notion to intercategories", a koji se može naći na: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2101.01460v2.pdf

Povod za ovaj rad su mi bila tri naizgled nezavisna pitanja:
1) koje su "ispravne" monoidalne strukture za kategorije bikategorija i duplih kategorija tako da poznato utapanje koje postoji između njihovih ne-monoidalnih verzija bude monoidalno?
2) koja bi bila varijacija pojma interkategorija od Grandisa i Parea da bi on obuhvatio monoide Gabrijele Bem?
3) da li poznato utapanje obogaćenih kategorija nad C u unutarnje kategorije u C, za neku kategoriju C, važi i kada je C trikategorija?

Ispostavlja se da monoidalna struktura u Gabrijelinim monoidima u 2) je baš ona koja radi posao u pitanju 1). U predavanju ćemo objasniti zašto uobičajena, kartezijanska struktura nije dobar izbor i zašto je Gabrijelina obećavala. Takodje ćemo pokazati zašto ima svrhe želeti da se Gabrijelini monoidi uklope u nešto slično interkategorijama, kao i koji je prirodni put da se traži pogodnija konstrukcija u tom smislu, i kako me je to dovelo do kategorija unutrašnjih u odredjenoj trikategoriji. Ujedno, ovo nas dovodi do trećeg pitanja, jer pre svega, iako intuitivno jasni, pojmovi u 3) nisu još postojali u literaturi, pa sam ih uvela u ovom radu. I još interesantnije, poznata trikategorija tenzorskih kategorija i modulo kategorija nad njima, ispostavlja se da je kategorija obogaćena, a ujedno i unutarnja u odredjenoj trikategoriji, što ćemo isto pokazati u predavanju. Predavanje ćemo početi pregledom pojmova (monoidalnih) kategorija, bikategorija i duplih kategorija, a u pogodnom kasnijem trenutku daćemo i blic pregled pojmova obogaćene i unutarnje kategorije u nekoj n-kategoriji, za n = 1,2,3.

Naslov predavanja: ASCAPE - ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SUPPORTING CANCER PATIENTS ACROSS EUROPE (H2020 PROJECT)

Apstrakt:
The ASCAPE project lasts 36 months and includes a competitive consortium of 15 partners from 7 countries (now we are at the end of the second year).

The main objective of ASCAPE is to take advantage of the recent ICT innovations in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to support cancer patients’ quality of life and health status. To achieve its objective, an open AI infrastructure is foreseen to be created that will enable health stakeholders (hospitals, research institutions, companies, etc.) to deploy and execute its AI algorithms locally on their private data. Any new knowledge produced by this process will be sent back to the open AI infrastructure and it can be used by other health stakeholders.
Whole process is based on Federated learning approach and communication between hospital Edge nodes and central Cloud infrastructure. The services to be designed, piloted and deployed inside this project will include intelligent interventions for patients’ support, improved patient and family counselling and guidance, early diagnosis and forecasts of ill-health, identification of disease trajectories and relapse, improved health literacy etc.

At the moment, ASCAPE is focused on intensive training/validating of the AI/ML models in two types of cancer, breast and prostate. In this presentation current state of the development of AI infrastructure will be reported.

Naslov predavanja: CUSTOMER CHURN PREDICTION IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS APPLYING UNSUPERVISED MACHINE LEARNING

Apstrakt:
Due to telecommunications market saturation, it is very important for telco operators to always have fresh insights into their customer’s dynamics. In that regard, social network analytics and its application with graph theory can be very useful. In this paper we analyze a social network that is represented by a large telco network graph and perform clustering of its nodes by studying a broad set of metrics, e.g., node in/out degree, first and second order influence, eigenvector, authority and hub values. This paper demonstrates that it is possible to identify some important nodes in our social network (graph) that are vital regarding churn prediction. We show that if such a node leaves a monitored telco operator, customers that frequently interact with that specific node will be more prone to leave the monitored telco operator network as well; thus, by analyzing existing churn and previous call patterns, we proactively predict new customers that will probably churn. The churn prediction results are quantified by using top decile lift metrics. The proposed method is general enough to be readily adopted in any field where homophilic or friendship connections can be assumed as a potential churn driver.

Naslov predavanja: THE HILBERT MATRIX OPERATOR ACTING ON SPACES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS

Apstrakt:
The Hilbert matrix is an infinite matrix whose action on the space of square summable sequences induces a bounded linear operator. It is a most typical example of a Hankel operator whose norm can be determined by applying the well-known Hilbert inequality. It is possible to go well beyond the norm computation: the spectrum of the Hilbert matrix on the space of square summable sequences is well understood. We will cover briefly the early results on this from the 1950s.

The Hilbert matrix also induces a bounded operator on  other sequence spaces and on various spaces of analytic functions (including certain Hardy and Bergman spaces, Dirichlet-type spaces, as well as Korenblum-type growth spaces) but this has only been noticed in the last 20 years. We will review these more recent developments, including norm computations on different spaces and several other recent results regarding the spectrum of the induced operator.

Part of this talk is based on a joint work in progress with A. Aleman and A. Siskakis.
