Naslov predavanja: ATTRIBUTE IMPLICATIONS AND FUNCTIONAL DEPENDENCIES: REASONING WITH SIMPLIFICATION LOGIC
 
Apstrakt:
Attribute implications in Formal Concept Analysis, functional dependencies in database theory and Horn clauses in logic are three views of the same concept that, traditionally, have been studied by making use of the so-called Armstrong axioms. This axiomatization is very useful from the theoretical point of view, but not from the applied point of view. An alternative that opens the door to a large number of applications comes from the Simplification logic that allows the design of efficient automatic reasoning tools. With these tools, applications have been proposed, for example, to the analysis of social networks or the design of recommender systems.
