Naslov predavanja: CONFORMAL INVARIANTS, SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, AND QUASICONFORMAL MAPS
Sadržaj: This talk will be a survey of some aspects of quasiconformal mapping theory where conformal invariants play a key role. Because many canonical conformal maps are given by special functions, such as elliptic integrals and hypergeometric functions, special functions have a key role in this study. A main problem is to study the case when quasiconformal maps approach conformal maps i.e. when the maximal dilatation K converges to 1. Because we aim at explicit bounds, typically involving K-1, some sharp inequalities for special functions are useful.
