Naziv predavanja: HOMOTOPY DECOMPOSITIONS OF GAUGE GROUPS WITH APPLICATIONS TO MODULI SPACES

Apstrakt:

We focus on gauge groups of principal U(n)-bundles over compact Riemann surfaces. In many cases the gauge groups are decomposed, up to homotopy equivalence, as products of other more well known spaces. As a consequence, the calculation of their homotopy groups reduces to that of spheres or U(n). This can then be applied to calculate the homotopy groups of certain moduli spaces through a range, answering a question of Daskalopolous and Uhlenbeck.
