Naslov predavanja: MODELLING OF DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF ORTHOTROPIC METALS

Kratka biografija predavača: Professor Rade Vignjević has thirty years of experience in postgraduate teaching, research and consultancy. He moved from the position of Head of the Applied Mechanics and Astronautics Department at Cranfield University to Brunel University London where he is Structural Integrity Theme Leader and Research Director in 2015.

His research interests are focused on finite element (FE) and smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) methods for nonlinear mechanics problems, such as fluid and soil - structure interaction, dynamic collapse and failure of thin walled structures, propagation of shock waves in solids and processes with severe deformations. Specific topics of interest include development of new elements, contact algorithms, new material models and their application of numerical to problems such as aircraft and automotive crashworthiness and hyper-velocity impact on spacecraft and defense. Prof Vignjević has published over two hundred technical papers.
