Scholarships for Serbian scholars within the Visegrad Scholarship Program (deadline January 2010.)

The Visegrad Scholarship Program was established in 2003 with the aim to foster academic mobility in the Visegrad Group countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), the program grew to become one of the biggest scholarship providers in the greater region of Central and Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus. To date we have awarded more than 750 individual scholarships in the total amount of over EUR 5.5 million.

In 2010 we continue with the /Out-Going Scholarships/ scheme enabling scholars from countries such as Serbia to study at accredited public or private universities in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland or Slovakia.
Selected scholars receive a stipend of EUR 2,300 per semester (and, if residing more than 1,500km from the host university, are also eligible for a travel grant). At the same time, every accredited Serbian host university gets awarded a lump sum of EUR 1,500 per semester for every scholar from the Visegrad Group countries that it hosts. Please take note of the fact that your university can serve as a host institution and is therefore eligible for the aforementioned lump sum.
